Fascia, soffit & UPVC cleaning
UPVC is sold as maintenance-free, but the damp British climate has other ideas. Algae, traffic film and years of rain leave white plastic looking grey, green and streaked. We wash fascias, soffits, bargeboards, cladding and porches back to white – usually in the same visit as your gutters or windows.
Why it is worth keeping on top of
- Structure – trapped dirt and moss hold moisture against the boards, which puts the guttering and roof edge at risk
- Money – small faults spotted during a clean are cheap to fix; a neglected roofline is not
- Kerb appeal – the roofline frames the whole house and is the first thing a buyer or neighbour notices
How we clean it
We start with a pure-water wash through soft brushes, which lifts most algae and traffic film without touching the surface finish. Stubborn staining is treated with a UPVC-safe cleaner applied by hand and rinsed down. We never use abrasive pads or strong solvents – they leave plastic dull and porous, so it gets dirty again faster.
Book it with your gutters
The pole is already up, so combining a fascia and soffit clean with gutter clearing or a window clean is the cheapest way to do it. Ask for a combined price when you request your quote.
Frequently asked questions
Will cleaning damage my UPVC?
No. We use pure water, soft brushes and UPVC-safe cleaners only. Abrasives and harsh solvents dull the surface, so we do not use them.
Can you clean cladding and porches too?
Yes – fascias, soffits, bargeboards, cladding, porches, garage doors and window frames can all be washed down.
My fascias are stained black. Will it come off?
Usually yes. Algae and traffic film lift well. Oxidised plastic that has gone chalky after twenty years may improve without returning to showroom white – we will tell you honestly before we start.
